"Tried Ji Chicken Shop for our first time and we can say with confidence that we enjoyed it 100%. First of all, be careful how much you order! The portions are VERY generous so you don’t need to order as much. We got Pop Corn, Strips, Plum Chips and Sweet Potatoes chips. All of them tasted very good! Will definitely visit again, but we will be ordering less next time"

"Been consistently getting popcorn chicken & boneless chicken thighs to take away and cooking wise so far it's the most consistent crispy fried chicken we have had in Bristol. The seasoning vary between each trip sometimes the chili option is really spicy sometimes does not, so something to keep in mind. Service was always ok but tonight was exceptional as we got to swap the chips to sweet potatoes, and cow's milk with oat milk free of charge, a nice courtesy! If you were visiting for the first time, just order in, customise it and waiting inside will be your best bet. We tried to order through Uber once and when we picked it up it was a mix of warm & cold popcorn chicken in one bag even though we're only 5-10 mins past the pick up time. We come back almost immediately and it got replaced so all good but worth bearing in mind when ordering online."

"One of my go-to Taiwanese restaurant whenever I feel like having boba tea or chicken popcorn. Service is really nice and staffs are quite friendly. Only thing is this place is mostly a takeaway one as they don't have many seats to sit on. But overall, I like this place"

"This shop use to be Coco's Bubble tea. It has now been replaced with a Taiwanese fried chicken street food shop and it is DIVINE! Cute logo and friendly staff. I'm not normally a big fan of deep fried food but the choices were amazing and bursting with flavour. Wait time and prices reasonable for the amount of food and quality that you get. You can choose from various flavours to top off your fried goods. We chose the Cheesy Volcano Chicken, King Prawns and Lotus Root Chips. Cheesy Volcano Chicken was a hearty portion, 2 thick slabs of chicken oozing with piping hot melted cheese and breaded. Each bite was full of flavour and as we chose a spicy option there was a nice after heat, perfect for this cold weather. The Fried King Prawn was big, juicy and flavourful with Thai Style flavour. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because I would have liked more lotus root in the lotus root chips! It was a great flavour but I felt like I was just eating super tasty batter, I bit into the chip and the lotus was extremely thin. They also sell bubble tea so we will be back to try that and the other options and I will update this review when we have."

"i chose the fried chicken thigh, season with salt, pepper and garlic. highly recommend! perfectly cooked and seasoned, delicious. not sure how the chips are season but easily the nicest chips i’ve ever eaten and perfectly crispy too. lovely staff, fast service, good food portions, beautiful food."

"Had the volcano chicken with fries and mango tea thing. Tea was nice with tiny bits of mango in it. I love how you can select your own spices for the chicken, numbing chilli is great. My only issue is with the small portion size for the price. I wouldn't try this place again unless I had an Uber eats discount."

"Popcorn chicken, squid, gizzard all 3 very good choices and a must try. Fresh and crispy batter. Seasonings we chose was Plum, seaweed, chilli and salt and pepper. The man serving us was very sweet and helpful when we were deciding on what to pick!"

"Amazing food, not had anything like it before. I ordered the lotus root chips. Quite sweet! I ordered popcorn chicken with a chilli and garlic seasoning. They are very generous with the portions so don't get too carried away with your order unless there is enough of you to eat it! Definitely wish there was a shop in London as I would love to try more things on their menu. Very good pricing for the amount of food you get. Definitely check it out if you are in Bristol. Their service was very quick, had to wait about 5 minutes for my food which I don't think is long at all!"
